Phatty & Sport

Tools Required

  • 2 - 10 mm wrenches
  • Small Allen Wrench (located in black pouch in the Phat Scooter Box)
  • Scissors
  • Philips Head Screwdriver

To remove scooter from metal shipping frame:

  1. Use two 10 mm wrenches to remove Top Bolts holding 2 vertical Support Bars on one side of shipping frame. Using one wrench to hold the nut on the back of the frame, and the other to remove the bolt. Fold one Support Bar left and one right until horizontal.
  2. Remove 2 Wires holding rear wheel in place.
  3. Remove your Phat Scooter Box from footboard.
  4. Use small Allen Wrench (located in black pouch in Phat Scooter Box) to remove 4 bolts holding Shipping Bracket at top of steering column (discard Shipping Bracket, keep 4 Bolts).
  5. Remove all Zip Ties and Packing Tape at top of shipping frame with scissors.
  6. Push down on Front Forks to compress Shocks to release neck of scooter from shipping frame.
  7. Tilt scooter out of shipping frame and lift front part of scooter out, then lift or roll rear of scooter to completely remove.
  8. Position scooter on level surface and engage kick stand while standing on left side of scooter(seat is not designed to be used as a lift point when lifting or moving your scooter).

Scooter Assembly:

  1. Install the handlebars by using the 4 Bolts used with the Shipping Bracket.
  2. Do not over-tighten these bolts.
  3. Install Headlight by positioning 2 brackets onto handlebars and securing 2 Screws provided with Philips-head screwdriver.
  4. Fender installation requires pre-installing 4 Black Fender Nuts into the back side of each fender.
  5. Place each fender into position on the scooter (shorter portion of front fender should face forward).
  6. Use 4 Bolts and 4 Colored Washers to install each Fender.
  7. Long Bolts for Front Fender and Shorter Bolts for Rear Fender(Front of Rear Fender needs to nest inside the rear of scooter footboard).

HD, HD Golf & HD XTR

Tools Required

  • 2 - 10 mm wrenches
  • Small Allen Wrench (located in black pouch in the Phat Scooter Box)
  • Scissors
  • Philips Head Screwdriver

  6. To attach rear fenders you will need to remove the bolt on each side that holds the top of rear shock.
  7. Once removed pull the shock back and install fender. Reinstall top shock bolts.
  8. Use 4 Bolts and 4 Colored Washers to install each Fender.
  9. Long Bolts for Front Fender and Shorter Bolts for Rear Fender (Front of Rear Fender needs to nest inside the rear of scooter footboard).
